St Annes Old Links

St Annes Old Links Golf Club stands as one of the premier championship links courses along England’s Northwest coast. Founded in 1901, the club has earned its place among the region’s elite golfing venues.

Historic Origins

The club’s origins trace back to the original Lytham and St Annes Golf Club. George Lowe, the club’s first professional, laid out the original nine holes, with Open Champion Sandy Herd later extending the course to eighteen holes.

Championship Credentials

St Annes Old Links has hosted Final Qualifying for The Open Championship and co-hosted The Amateur Championship 2022 alongside Royal Lytham & St Annes. The 9th hole has been named “the Top 9th Hole in Great Britain” by Golf World magazine.

The par-72 championship course measures 6,907 yards with a course rating of 74.0. The links features natural duneland terrain, strategic bunkering, and fast greens demanding precise play.
